Devin is a West Salem native and is thrilled to be pursuing her passion for helping animals in her home town. Although she considers cats to be superior to other fur-family members, she can't help opening up her heart to anything else that runs, hops, flies, crawls, or swims.
Being a Certified Veterinary Technician has been Devin's dream since she was very young. In 2012 she graduated with her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology, and went on to pass her Veterinary Technician National Exam later that year. Devin has utilized her degree by volunteering at the AS/AP cat shelter, rescuing wildlife, assisting at low-cost spay and neuter clinics, and working full-time here at the West Salem Veterinary Clinic since January 2016.
Devon has a son, Rowan, who did not inherit the animal loving gene, instead preferring the company of trucks and tractors. Devin also has a boxer named Pepperjack and cats Nala and Batman II. She is a backyard chicken enthusiast, although currently without chickens (until the local raccoons decide that her chicken coop is not supposed to be an all you can eat buffet). Her interests at the West Salem Veterinary Clinic include client education, hospice/end of life care, and anything to do with cats!
