Carlie has been with the West Salem Veterinary Clinic since 2013, graduating with her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from UW River Falls in 2014. Carlie began her journey at West Salem Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant, and worked her way to becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. She grew up on a dairy farm and naturally felt the pull towards the various animals she helped take care of.
Carlie has a compassion for working with animals in treatment and surgery and helping them to rest comfortably while in the clinic. She loves being in the animal care field because she gets to see a lot of different breeds of animals as well as the many different personalities among them. Carlie has loved taking care of large and small animals since she was a little girl. One of the greatest aspects of animal care for Carlie is seeing them live happy, healthy lives, and seeing them fully recover from any sickness or health problems.
In her free time, Carlie enjoys playing the piano, crafting, participating in volleyball and softball and spending time with her husband, Jacob, their little boy, Gabe and their dogs, Ole and Lena. Hunting and fishing are other hobbies she enjoys when she isn't busy with everything else!
